Pneumaticneck foil removeroptimises recycling
Screwcaps forwinebottlesarebecoming increasinglypopular. Ease
of use, no riskof thewine tasting corkedand theability to reseal
thebottleareadvantages that speak for themselves.However, these
bottlesstill presentproblems, forexample fordishwashingsystems,
as thebottompart of the cap remainson theneckof thebottleafter
it isopened.
Rinkhasnowdevelopedamachinewithapatentedmethod for the
easyandefficient removal of theneck foil. It is controlledbya Festo
valve terminalVTSA,whichminimises installationeffort and there-
fore reduces costs.
Themachinemakesa cut in theneck foil frombelowusingaspring-
loadedknifeandpushes it over thebottleshoulder. The foilsare
rippedand removed reliably,while thebottle threadandneck remain
intact. Themachineoperatesat a cycle rateof up to5,000bottles
per hour andsupports fast changeover todifferent bottlesizes.
